DEPARTMENT OF GEOGRAPHY

    The Department of Geography started functioning in Karnatak Science College in the year 1937. It offers Geography as an optional subject for students pursuing B.Sc. and B.A. degree courses. The Department of Geography, K.Sc.C.D has an independent building with three lecture Halls, each with a seating capacity for 120 students. It also contains three lecture halls and one museum. The Department of Geography, K.Sc.C.D. has a study circle, through which tours, seminars and group discussions for students are arranged. Meteorologic predictor information is available to the general public, as the Department of Geography has six meteorological equipment.

    The faculty members of the Department of Geography, K.Sc.C.D are recognized as Ph.D. Guides by the Karnatak University, Dharwad. Many students are pursuing their Ph.D. degree under the faculty members of the Department of Geography, who have also completed the implementation of research projects funded by the University Grants Commission, Government of India.
